Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will write for and manage a number of platforms and audiences both in print and online. This position will work with marketing team members, branch personnel, and product line specialists to ensure content and projects meets the needs of all internal stakeholders, is compliant, and provides an outstanding customer experience.


  • Create and manage marketing projects that support specific objectives across the bank and in support of the overall strategic marketing plan.
  • Write for and help determine the editorial scope of our print and online advertising and content, along with our website, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Be involved with ad placement and development; suggest copy, imagery, and concepts.
  • Source and plan small business and other videos for the website. Go on video shoots to direct content.
  • Restart the bank's marketing automation efforts in relationship to its CRM for better lead generation, cross-sell opportunities, and overall customer communications.
  • Work with vendor partners to manage messaging and branding.
  • Audit and analyze content performance, make best practices recommendations, and set traffic and lead generation goals.
  • Craft press releases and promote the bank to local and national press outlets.
  • Manage internal communications and intranet website to further the bank's business goals.
  • Brainstorm new and creative messaging techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop collateral.
  • Work with tight deadlines, multi-task wisely, take constructive criticism, and adjust project scope as needed to accomplish goals.
  • Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures.  Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as required. 


Knowledge & Experience: These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.   • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a closely related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a journalist, marketing coordinator, or content strategist. In other words, you already have a nice portfolio of published work.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms (Hubspot, Pardot, etc.), and data analysis is a must.
  • Experience with diverse sets of stakeholders, setting expectations, editing content, and managing large projects.
  • Able to tell a great story, even when tackling complex concepts.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and willing to wear multiple hats at any given time in an environment where one day is likely not the same as the next.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry and experience writing about financial topics are also pluses, but not required.
